Ego Vs. Intuition

Ellen Seigel and I made this video in 2022 from the comfort of our homes. It is a topic that we both enjoy discussing and feel it is important to hear the difference, so that our audiences can differentiate and begin to grow from. I hope you will too. Below is a favorite quote from Carl Jung.

When you are ready, the right therapist will be able to take you to the other side. From darkness to light, from unhealthy to healthy, from pain to clarity.

The Psychology of the Deep Narcissist – As Explained Through Carl Jung’s Teachings

This is Psychology 101, Jung and his thoughts used to understand Narcissism. It is the best 30 minutes on this topic that you will find. However, as a caveat, the subtitles are AI generated, so ignore the subtitles – which you can’t turn off. It looks like this person has maybe created this for a psychology class. I hope the whole thing isn’t AI generated but you never know these days. He has listed many references under the video for further research.

Carl Jung is one of my favorite psychologists but he is hard to study. I have seen him speaking on another video and thought to myself “Why didn’t you write your books this way?” LOL. Naturally, he wrote them for academia, for psychology journals and for research and so they weren’t written for the average reader. I find, the best way to learn about his work is from videos like the one above. Reading books where people have translated his work and listening to a video where he is talking to the interviewer directly.

At the end of this video, he talks about healing the self – that is possible for the narcissist. I would argue that it is equally helpful in healing the survivor.

“The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.” Carl Jung

Women’s Rights Annihilated by Narcissistic Men and Feminists.

American life is in subtle ways so one-sided. The real natural man is just in open rebellion against the utterly inhuman form of life.

Carl Gustav Jung – a 1990 Documentary of an INterview (Psychology Library YouTube)

What has happened 103 years later, post 19th Amendment, that “some women,” the feminists, ironically are no longer fighting for women’s rights? Why are men suddenly determined to become women and take over our locker rooms, bathrooms, sports leagues and getting away with it? Why are there young children, taking the stand at PTA meetings, begging for support from the school board? Why are teachers turning against parents and sexualizing children across the country? Why are pediatricians not caring about ethics in favor of money from big pharmaceutical companies and the hospitals lavishing in this new cash cow – post pandemic favoritism (rhetorical yes)? Why is our own President, lavishing awards to men on International Women’s Day and promoting trans rights? And, why are we suddenly seeing children being brought to trans events – with a huge sensitivity now to pedophiles – and actors supporting this?

Face to Face: Carl Gustav Jung – My Thoughts

This is a really profound and historical interview with Carl Gustav Jung. It was conducted by a British interviewer in 1959, by the name of John Freeman. This interview took place in his home in Switzerland, which is on a lake. What is amazing is how good his English is and how prolific he could speak in this language. Even the accent is very lite. Some of the wonderful comments that caused awe and interest for me the most are noted below:

Snow White and The Queen Mother: A Symbolic Perspective

I was listening to Insight Timer, one evening, several weeks ago and decided to have a story read to me so that I could go to sleep. Generally, I put the volume down, very low, and I drift off into slumber land. I choose the tales of young girls or older women whether old fables or new ones. On this particular evening, I saw the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. I had not heard this story in a very long time and so I decided to listen. I also liked the name of the reader “Glenda Cedarleaf,” which sounded like a nice fairy tale name. Glenda is the good witch from the Wizard of Oz and leaves from a cedar tree sounded equally comforting to me. I did not turn the volume down though. Instead, I decided to turn it up and listen to the entire story. Within moments, I realized why. The story she had condensed and revised suddenly had me thinking of all the symbols and what they might mean. I knew immediately that this was a story about a narcissistic mother (queen) and her vulnerable little daughter who became her scapegoat (Snow White). I decided to contact Glenda for the story so that I could do an interpretation here for you. Thankfully, she was more than happy to allow me to do this and now I will present my thoughts here for you today.
